Designing Preschool Where ALL Are Welcome

This session will explore two important components to an early childhood setting that can welcome each child. Learn about applying the concept of “universal design” to your program in terms of attitudes, preparation, intake procedures, equipment, and training for staff. Also learn about the concept of “responsive design”, getting to know a specific individual and how to weave together a web of support so that child can be successfully included. Leave with a large toolbox of very practical skills so your setting can proudly display the sign “Every Child Welcome”.
